This board needs cleaned up - why are there 700 sub-forums that nobody uses?

agree, it looks bad and would generate more discussion if common topic forums were added together. 1 nfl forum, 1 "fans meet" forum (for the stuff like classifieds, tailgating, and fans united, 1 for other sports, 1 for the misc stuff. no need for all these wastelands.

It's an old tired formula for the worst homer boards I've visited - let things flow, don't pigeon hole every little thing to hide what you don't want to see or don't think is important, it just kills interaction.

No wonder people are moving to Facebook

This forum structure is still widely preferred by a wide-range of popular forums all around the web.

It know everyone has their own preferences, and I know MORE forums isn't always a good thing, but we like to keep some discussions separate, especially General NFL and Steelers. This is, after all, a Steelers forums, and discussions about Steelers shouldn't be buried beneath regular NFL discussions, especially with the massive amount of traffic this place gets on gamedays and the days leading up.

As always, with suggestions, the administrators will discuss it.

I've asked all around, and it seems there's simply not enough desire to move our forum to a new structure.

I've literally asked everywhere and most people prefer to have forums for each major discussion-base, rather than cluttering it all into three or four forums.

In fact, most forums that use this structure have either closed, remodeled or sold off to a new owner.

Seems SteelerNation has a new, blank look?

I just simply see no reason in changing the structure that made this forum the #1 Steelers forum on the internet.

As I said in one of the several posts above: I'm completely open to closing inactive forums, however, i'm not open to completely changing our forums structure. Maybe merging some forums is a good idea. Forums such as "Fans United" and "Media" can be combined with the current Steelers forum, and forums such as "Fun House" could always be moved to the Locker Room.

These are changes that i'm open to. It could clean things up a little bit.
