Which is a little pathetic considering the pandering the CBC does to the French in Quebec.

Oh, and most Canadians outside of Quebec - even in Ontario and we're right next door - can barely speak a word of French because honestly, who gives a shit.

but at least they had some spark tonight, Despres showed up on the game winning rush - take that danny boy
I dont think either defense showed up last night... Looked more like hated rival Pens/Flyers game more than anything! But we'll take the W.....

I also had the unfortunate opportunity to watch the game on the CBC feed... I agree they were biased towards the Habs. But it was great to watch the Pens win!

Our defense and goaltending has to get it together. We can't continue to give up 5-6 goals per game and think we can win. Penguins are at their best when the goalie makes saves and keeps them in the game. I just don't trust the consistency of the offense to be able to score at will. Yeah we've got the players to do so, but I'd rather see the Pens win 3-1, 2-1 games.

Great way to build momentum going into tomorrow night against Tampa at CEC.

Was looking at the Pens stats, TK has just 4 points in 22 games. Pens really screwed up when they signed Kennedy over Talbot.

Geno is baaaaack!

enjoy your time in the press box Beau - we gotta keep TK happy

SOB!

PIT puts Zach Boychuk on waivers

https://twitter.com/TSNBobMcKenzie/s...26392529133568

Boychuk goes back to Carolina, they get first dibs on him if they want him, being that they lost him to waivers, they can claim him and send him directly back to Charlotte (AHL).

4-3 - good game, a rare 3rd period comeback, defense looked better, calmer

Not sure if you guys heard it, but Pierre McGuire said Cooke asked Malkin why he didn't pass it to him instead of Neal on the EN goal, and Geno replied, "Because you'd miss!"

Good stuff, because the empty netter ended up being the game winner

oh yeah...

I fell asleep during the 2nd period last night...but let me get this straight. The game ended 4-3 and an empty netter was the winner? What kind of retard pulls his goalie in a tie game? No wonder the Lightening are in 13th place.

That is a pretty sick goal as well! Glad to see him back!

not quite

Pens were up 3-2 with a minute left, TB pulled their goalie

Pens scored empty netter - 4-2.

game over?

nope

Lightning scored with 8 sec left to make it 4-3 and were gunning for more to tie it up with 0.5 sec left.

trade talks are heating up

NOooooooooooooo! not Despres!

trading Despres would be beyond stupid - I'd trade Orpik or Adams first

Pens looking at Jack Johnson (Columbus), Jarome Iginla (Calgary).

The NHL trade deadline expires in less than a month.

The Penguins may again me be looking to strike before it by moving a young defenseman.

Simon Despres, 21, is available – and the Columbus Blue Jackets’ three senior members of hockey operations attended the Penguins’ 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Consol Energy Center on Monday night.

New general manager Jarmo Kekalainen, his assistant Chris MacFarland, and senior advisor Craig Patrick – who preceded Ray Shero as Penguins general manager – watched the game from the media level.

http://blog.triblive.com/chipped-ice...ginla-calgary/

The Penguins are also exploring the possibility of adding a veteran winger, and there is reported buzz within the NHL that Shero is intrigued by Calgary right winger Jarome Iginla, who is the Flames’ captain.

DO IT!
