A league source said that the Broncos have been associated with another veteran running back – T.J. Duckett of the Atlanta Falcons – as part of a potential three-team trade. The deal would also send Broncos wide receiver Ashley Lelie to the New England Patriots, while Denver would receive Patriots tight end Daniel Graham and Duckett. The Falcons would receive undisclosed draft choices from both teams.

According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, the Saints may be giving some consideration to acquiring Edwards. Edwards played for Saints defensive coach Joe Vitt in Kansas City and Vitt has always been a big supporter of Edwards. The Chargers would like to trade Edwards and safety Hanik Milligan. The Saints and Chargers talked about different players on Monday, and Edwards came up prominently.

I cannot quite fathom the logic behind these rumors.

There is no way that New England gives up the best blocking TE, who is improving at pass catching, just so we can pick up another Bethel Johnson.

And, if I read that correctly, then the Patriots are giving the Falcons an undisclosed draft pick aswell....for what exactly?

I think Dan Graham will be re-signed, as long as he is realistic about his salary demands, he does alot of the unglamourous work - helping out a shorthanded O-Line on many occasions - but not the sort of stuff that shows up in fantasy football stats.

At this point Lelie is worth what Andre Davis was worth last year - a 5th round gamble.

Thats why they are called rumors, you figure how many countless people are involved but not involved in the NFL these days. Between the teams, the newspapers, friends of friends and who knows what else go figure why a lot of these stories don't make sense. All I know is it helps kill time until Sept. 7th....HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!!!!
