Default BigBen7.com

Figured i'd make a Big Ben 7 thread to throw some articles in. I talk with his website and social media administrator often, and she works very, very hard keeping things updated for Ben and his family. Some really good articles and updates come from Erin and the BigBen7 team all of the time, and I plan on posting some of it here.

Ben Roethlisberger Show: Frustrated By 3-6, ‘Unbelievable’ Trade Reports

(93.7 The Fan) – Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is frustrated, but not for the reasons that may have been detailed in an NFL Network report. Ben vented to Vinnie & Cook on the #1 Cochran Ben Roethlisberger Show, heard weekly on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.

“I’m tired of it. It upsets me,” Roethlisberger says of the NFL Network’s report that he is upset about the team’s direction and will demand a trade at season’s end.

“I have no idea where it came from, and I wish I could find out where it came from because it’s so stinking upsetting. It just fires me up. Where do people make this stuff up from? It’s unbelievable.”

“I look at the Rooneys like they’re family. They’re like grandfathers and fathers to me. I can speak on my behalf, my agent, my family. We have never asked. We’re not going to ask. This is home and this is family. The people of Pittsburgh and the fans, that’s family. That’s why I’m so adamant and upset that this got brought to my attention at the end of the game.”

As for Ben’s emotions at this point in the season, he admits he’s frustrated.

“Of course I’m frustrated. We all should be frustrated. The fans are frustrated. You’re frustrated because of your record, not because of any individual or any coach. I’m frustrated at myself because I’m not playing well,” Roethlisberger said.

Roethlisberger also looks inside his relationship with Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley, bristles at suggestions that the team is rebuilding, and looks ahead to next week’s matchup against Detroit.

On taking some heat about the “Ask Coach Haley” answer during his post-game Q&A -

“It’s unbelievable! They take one little blurb of a whole sentence, and it was not directed at Coach Haley like, ‘Go ask him! I don’t know why we didn’t do it!’ (done in an angry voice). It was a,’HE’S our coordinator, go talk to him. If you want to ask about play calling, go ask him about him about it. He’s the guy that calls the plays. If you want to ask me something about the no-huddle, and I’m calling it, then you ask me.’

“I don’t have any issues with the way the game was called – when he called it, when I called it. I thought it was a good game plan, I thought we executed well. We scored points. Would we have liked to score more, yes! But in no way, shape or form was that directed negatively at him. I have no issues with Coach Haley. I think the offense has been as good as it has been in a long time, we have some guys doing some great things…it gets blown up. It’s by reporters that come in there and ask the dumbest questions after a game and it makes it ridiculous when they take only part of your answer. So it was taken way out of context. I have no problems with Coach Haley. I love where this offense is right now.”

Maybe he could learn how to forget what he learned with all that practice and preparation and choke to death in the postseason like Peyton as well. You know, the most prepared choker in the history of the NFL.

Peyton may not get it done when it matters, but that's the guy Ben should try to be more like. #leadership
