And I know Halloween is long gone, but I just stumbled across this and it's too funny not to share. Bortuzzo just looks ecstatic!

Malkin is day to day (lucky) and Letang is back on IR with an upper body injury. Engelland is waiting for his hearing on Wednesday. Scuderi is expected back in 7-9 days, Glass in 3-5.

It's basically going to be the Baby Pens vs. the Leafs tonight lol.

Lineup tonight will look like this...

Chris Kunitz - Sidney Crosby - Pascal Dupuis

Harry Zolnierczyk - Jussi Jokinen - Jayson Megna

Chris Conner - Brandon Sutter - Joe Vitale

Craig Adams - Zach Sill - Chuck Kobasew

Matt Niskanen - Olli Maatta

Robert Bortuzzo - Brian Dumoulin

Simon Despres - Philip Samuelsson

Marc-Andre Fleury

Jeff Zatkoff

Suspended: James Neal, Deryk Engelland

Injured: Evgeni Malkin (lower body), Kris Letang (upper body), Brooks Orpik (head), Andrew Ebbett (ankle), Beau Bennett (wrist), Tanner Glass (hand), Paul Martin (leg), Rob Scuderi (ankle), Tomas Vokoun (pelvis)

The Baby Pens beat the Leafs tonight, 3-1 with goals from Connor, Crosby, and Sutter (EN).

It'll be nice seeing highlights of the Pens beating both the Wings and Leafs on the next episode of 24/7.

Engelland gets 5 games, which I think is horseshit.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...d=nhl:topheads

Malkin will be out 2 more games...

http://www.nhl.com/ice/blogpost.htm?...d=nhl:topheads

Neal will be back from suspension tomorrow night, but the lineups for tonights game will pretty much be the same as against the Leafs. Except Gibbons will be in for the...wait for it...injured Megna.

Pens vs. Rangers tonight on NBCSports at 8pm.

So Malkin is due to return this afternoon versus Calgary?

No, I think the article was stating that he would miss the Wednesday and Thursday games, and then be evaluated again (very poor wording for the article btw, I thought the same as you did).

He's still listed as being day to day on the injury report for the Pen-Flames preview though. And the Trib said he skated on his own on Friday, but didn't practice and won't be in for the Flames game.

Glass and Scuderi are very close and while neither is ruled out for today's game, it's highly doubtful they'll be in just yet.

Thanks. Hopefully the crew will return soon. The paranoiac in me says the youth on the ice will catch up to the Penguins at some point. I hope that is not the case.

Another win today! I liked how the boys were playing through the first period. Then it seemed like they took their foot off the gas, and let Calgary back in the game. Pittsburgh was fortunate not to give the lead away. The Flames had several chances to tie it late.

Forgot to mention this on Monday, because was busy with Christmas stuff, but not only did the Pens 7 game win streak get smashed by Ottawa (5-0), but Dupuis was also injured in the game. The injury hurts more than the loss. The loss was bound to happen with all these injuries piling up and no reason the Pens should feel deflated as they've won 12 of their last 14 despite all those injuries.

We just really need to get some guys back. It doesn't look like any of them will be tonight.

Per the Pens/Hurricanes Preview:

Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis (lower body) left Monday's game and his status for Friday is uncertain. Forward Tanner Glass (broken hand) and defensemen Rob Scuderi (broken ankle) and Brooks Orpik (concussion) are practicing and appear close to returning. Center Evgeni Malkin (lower body) has been skating on his own but has not returned to practice. Forwards Jayson Megna (lower body), Andrew Ebbett (broken ankle) and Beau Bennett (hand/wrist surgery), defensemen Kris Letang (upper body) and Paul Martin (fractured tibia), and goalie Tomas Vokoun (blood clot) are on injured reserve.

No Pens Report up yet, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
