I disagree about the coaching being bad but some of the other points are great. I am extremely thankful for Beachum. The guy provided an answer at LT and that now gives us depth with Adams as the backup. I am thankful for Worlids stepping up. It hopefully allows us to resign him and cut "deadwood". Worlids was close with Harrison so maybe he sees that and stays put knowing that he is meant to play in the Lebeau defense? Shamarko seems like a nice piece. I know he isn't setting the world on fire but he seems to have the backing form the coaching staff. Clark can go now. Vince Williams was another decent find this year. if by any chance Spence can come back we have some nice depth there now. I think we look good for next year but we need to do some cutting and have a good draft!

this may be a true stat, but here are some other stats....
the steelers were 19th in points allowed
the steelers were 20th in yds per game
the steelers were 25th in sacks
the steelers were 11th in rush def.
the steelers were 24th in pass def

just because we only 2.19 yards in a few games doesnt mean we dont have an issue! as you can see these stats are way more telling!!!!! and yes passing yards allowed is a direct result of no pass rush!!!
Our pass rush was lacking because we blitz our OLBs 66% of the time on passing downs, despite the fact that our scheme no longer fits our personnel. I've gone over that rant a couple of times, but it holds water here.

Our secondary is abysmal outside of Cortez Allen. A schematic and personnel change would fix a lot of our issues. Steve McLendon is not one of those issues.

sorry man, but if your defesive line in a 3-4 does not demand double teams, they are not doing their job! aaron smith and casey hampton would demand double teams...freeing up lber's to pass rush! it trickles down to the cornerbacks! it is personnel and its an easy fix...draft a space eating monster of a nose tackle...put him between heyward and mcclendon/woods...and let them cause havoc! you could have the greatest corners in the league covering recievers...but if you give a qb time...he will pick them apart!!!!
