He had a meltdown at the combine but was certainly worth a shot over our 7th rounders.
He is an ILB. How well would he fair in the Steelers' 3-4? Could he play all 3 downs? He isn't known for speed

Are you saying he's not a leader?

How about playing him as an inside LB, next to Timmons?

Pretty tough running up the middle....but I'm dreaming.....back to reality.

Harrison was never noted for great pass coverage, even in his heyday. Putting him at buck would give you about the same results as having Vince Williams there, sans the 13 years of nfl experience...

If Harrison can come in to give Jones some time to learn then it would be a bonus. Woodley should have been the one let go. He's been overrated for years. The Steelers need someone to play OLB. Worilds is most likely gone. Woodley needs to be cut. Who is left? Carter and Jones?
Yes, it is Ben's team. This year proved that if you ask me. Ben came out after that horrible start and stated that he and this team would not quit and would continue fighting and they did. He led that charge and seized the reins IMHO. His ability to run the no-huddle offense has improved greatly as well and resulted in a lot of success for us when they allowed him to cut loose with it. He is clearly the leader of this team now in regards to players.

I think Harrison would have been better off going to a 3-4 team. Not sure if he went to Cincy for "revenge", money, or if he thought it was his best chance at winning a SB but if I were him, I would have gone to New Orleans who was rumored to be interested.

Wouldn't have mattered. He had absolutely nothing left in the tank.

More in the tank than Woodley and cheaper. Who are the OLBs in 2014? Jones and Carter?

You're predicting the depth chart of our team prior to free agency and the draft? C'mon.

Harrison had two sacks all season. Woodley had what, 4 in the first 5-6 games prior to his injury? How do you figure that Harrison had more to give?

Fair enough, I do think he would have a better season in a 3-4 D though. Now that said, it was the right move letting him go all things considered.
