4. Justin Ellis, NT <--- another player who will be a steal IMO
4. Robert Herron, WR(T.Y Hilton 2.0?)
5. De'Anthony Thomas, RB
6. Aaron Colvin, CB

I like this, but like we talked about, I like Cody Hoffman instead of Herron. I think Hoffman is going to run a slow 40, but he is that 6'4" physical receiver with good hands we could use.

That's not too shabby, but my point was: four DBs & a NT. so, how about something like this:

R1: CB Dennard
R2: FS Bucannon
R3: CB Watkins
R4: NT Carrethers
R5: CB Benwikere
I'm not sold on 4 db's, as I think our OLB depth is still thin, but could also see something like this:

R1: Dennard CB
R2: Van Noy OLB
R3: Exum S
R4: Ellis NT
R4 (comp) Hoffman WR

If his stock rises I doubt he'll be there for our 3rd round pick but Imo would be a reach with our 2nd pick. It'll be interesting to how he performs in the senior bowl tomorrow
He has looked stiff in drills and practice at the Senior Bowl. Doesn't look like he is picking up their instruction that quickly. I don't think his stock is going to rise, unless he puts on a show at his pro day.

I was being mostly tongue-in-cheek. That said, I do think that three DBs should be drafted: two CBs & a FS.

1. NT (or CB)
2. NT, CB, or FS
3. OLB
4. NT, CB, or FS
5. CB or FS

(Van Noy is a stud. I think he goes late R1.)

Word from the Senior Bowl is that after Nix's injury, most scouts view him as a mid-second round pick. This means that the Steelers could potentially end up with both Mosley/Gilbert/Dennard and Nix. I mean, the stars have to align for that to happen, but it's a possibility.

That would be amazing.

But, alas, I just don't see him getting past the Niners or Taperiots at 29 & 30.

For me it's the lesser of two evils. I'd rather them end up with Kelvin Benjamin for Brady than take Nix away from us.

Nix will be a Raven, Niner, or Taperiot.

It's how things work out.
