No...

Call me when they do.
Still not sure what point you're trying to make.

RE-CAP

People were saying that Bettis never had a QB to take the pressure off of him, and thus, he faced 8-9 men in the box. Thus, his numbers are pretty darn impressive.

You posted that Ray Rice, Frank Gore, et al. never had a QB either (i.e. Bettis' numbers are not impressive).

I asked you to call me when one of those other RBs reached 13,000 yards.

MY POINT:
Yes, CJ2K, Rice, Charles, et al. have had to face 8-9 man fronts.

Yes, they have all had several good seasons.

But, my point, is that they are good enough to face 8-9 men fronts for about 6-7 years... but, at some point, they will indeed hit the wall. The closest is Gore... and he has about 3,000 more yards to reach Bettis.... which could take three more seasons... and the odds are that Gore does not make the 13,000 yard mark. The longevity that Bettis displayed is amazing. He took punishing hit after punishing hit, and he STILL managed to amass 13,000 yards.

Another example...
Just a few years ago, everyone was predicting that LaDainian was going to surpass Emitt. Then, LT got old really quickly... and was cut... and then retired. Likewise, Gore, Charles, CJ2K might be great right now... and they might be great next year... but, that can end in the blink of an eye.

SUMMATION:
If they reach 13,000 yards, THEN we can discuss is they are as good as Bettis. Until then, they are all just a bunch of RBs who have had a good, but not HOF, career.

I want to throw the Majik man in there, too, but I can't recall if he was there when Dickerson was.

Yikes!

You're really testing my memory!

Late 80's ATL would have been Bartkowski, no?

Early 90's ATL would have been Chris Miller/Billy Joe Tolliver/Bobby Hebert?

I'll look it up in a sec just to test my acumen.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger
“He is one of the best of all time. His numbers, he has a Super Bowl. What he has done on the football field is easily deserving of Canton. He is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“He was someone you knew put in the hard work, he wasn’t going to make mistakes, you could count on him. He was a proven guy, a veteran who always went hard.

“It was more than just how special he was as a football player. What he did on the football field spoke for itself. The leadership, the type of player he was. It was the locker room, off the field, the community. When I first got here it was the time the WWJD bracelets, What Would Jesus Do, came out and I would laugh when I was doing things and think, What Would Jerome Do. He is someone I tried to mold myself after. That is what made him so special, outside of the talent he had on the field.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
but then said "CJ2K, Rice, Charles, et al." are better than him.

Bill Cowher picked his quaterbacks. So that says alot about his ability to find talented QB's

It's also worth stating that Jerome, given his abnormal size for a RB, was also a short yardage back. Would it be fair to say that many other HOF RB's had another power RB on the roster for 3rd/inches, etc.? Especially for Jerome late in his career when he WAS that guy.. Has to shave a tenth of a yard or two off the per carry average..
