Bridgewater blows. He's going to be a failure of epic proportions. I dont trade Ben away without getting AT LEAST three 1st's, two 2nd's, and a third, if I'm even attempting to be realistic about it.

What are you basing this on?

Watching him play. I dont touch Bridgewater to be my QB of the future. I hope the Browns draft him.

I completely disagree. I've now watched 6 games of his and everything that I've seen points toward him being a franchise passer.

If you say you like Johnny Manziel over Bridgewater, I swear to god...

I understand the temptation, but I say no.

You can't trade away a franchise quarterback in his prime under any circumstances. Ben has a minimum of 4 great years left in him. My personal opinion is that Ben can be a great QB for another 5-7 years, barring major injury. He's more athletic than Peyton or Brady ever will be, and that athleticism will help him later in his career. If you know you have a great quarterback, and you have him for that long of a run, you must sign him and keep him.

You could draft a quarterback, but even if he turns into a good player, he may not have 5-7 good years....not great years.

The rebuilding has already started. The offense is getting to the point where they can start to carry the team. Gut the defense of high priced, older players, while drafting heavy on the defensive side of the ball. Add a few key veteran FA defensive players, and things will come together quickly.

Defense is the easier side of the ball to get better quickly. That's because the quarterback position is so important, and hard to find. A good defense can be assembled quickly, and can last for years. I say stick to what has won championships in Pittsburgh: Keep the quarterback that has taken you to three super bowls and infuse the younger talent around him. If they play their cards right, this is a team that could start contending for championships starting next year, and continue for the foreseeable future.

Finding a great quarterback is the most difficult thing to do in pro football. Most of the teams in the league spend decades searching for one. We already have one.

We know the Steelers can win with Big Ben under center. Anything else is a crap shoot.

I'd trade BB for Mike Wallace.

Then, I'd fire LeBeau, switch to the 4-3, and make some sort of quasi-bigoted comment about Tomlin, but I'd add the disclaimer "I'm not racist" so, it'll be okay.

Lastly, I'd beat a dead horse, bludgeon a deceased steed, and pummel a cadaverous equine.

Finally......someone with some helpful suggestions!
