I hear what you're saying, and I've averred that championships are won by teams who hit the lottery in the draft.

The 2005 Steelers SuperBowl secondary started Troy, a R3 pick (Hope) and two R4 picks (Deshea & Ike).

The 2008 Steelers SuperBowl secondary started Troy, an undrafted player (Clark), a R4 pick (Ike), and, yes, a R2 pick (McFadden).

The 2010 Steelers SuperBowl secondary started Troy, an undrafted player (Clark), a R4 pick (Ike), and a R5 pick (Gay).

Paying & keeping those players is the difficult part.

all of the players listed in this topic are either over 30, or too expensive to afford in free agency. pass

Speaking of Seattle what Walter Thurmond. While he is not among the highest rated free agents Think he could help. Seattle will probably pass on resigning him. They have to save cap space for Sherman and Maxwell being free agents next year. Might be a good 2nd corner
