We don't need a scatback, we have Le'Veon. He can be our three down back with Blount handling the short yardage. I very much doubt we draft a shifty RB this year - there's no need to. Bell and Blount make a 1-2 tandem that is right up there with the best in the NFL.

Also, I like this guy. He understands what Ravens - Steelers is. I hope we get to see Blount punch 'em right in the mouth. Literally or figuratively, whichever.

interesting, I guess we're not going to use him as much like Dwyer and Jones last season maybe.

i'll bet he and Moats get into it in camp this year.

Which do you think comes first? Moats - Blount or Taylor - Brown?

Also, why do Taylor and Brown seemingly get into each others face every camp?

Apparently Taylor and Brown have fought after the practices too. I also will bet Cam Heyward gets into fights with everybody.

And thank GOD for that.

Although I'd be much more willing to accept giving Blount a series than running it with Felix when it was a crucial drive and inevitably punting.

It really depends. I still think they need a talented returner who can outright win the job from Brown, and not just be handed it. Do you really see them passing on DAT in round 6 if he somehow falls that far? Too much talent in late round RBs for me to doubt one gets taken given the extra comp picks they got.

for 2 million a year he's going to play a bigger role than just goalline and short yardage. my guess is he'll get 6-8 carries a game just to give bell a break. i don't want to see bell get 30 carries a game and end up retiring in 4 years because of injuries / overuse

Do I see them taking a returner? Sure. Do I see them taking a RB for an offensive role? Nope. They might take someone like Dunn who specializes in PR/KR, but it won't be for offensive snaps. They just can't spread that out. Bell needs 15 - 20 touches / game, and Blount is going to get 8 - 10 and you have to give the ball to Brown at least 5 - 7 times a game (likely more). If you factor in Wheaton, Miller and Moore, we're running out of snaps here.

I'm still liking DHB to be the return man. I know he has had drop issues, but that 4.23 speed is intriguing.

I don't know. Two back sets from the shotgun could be intriguing with another pass capable back. I agree I wouldn't look for anyone to make a major impact on offense, but I still say there's a role for a dynamic playmaker.

I don't buy it. Could he be? Sure. Is there any reason to believe it? No. We're talking about a guy who didn't play special teams for the first time ever until December of last year. That's including high school and college. Somebody mentioned before he was a return man in college, but I haven't been able to find any stats on that. Is he on the list? Absolutely. But it's loony to put all our eggs in that basket.
