And seriously. About the gun charges. Who really gives a shit? I mean, does anyone really think most NFL players don't arm themselves? Was he being reckless when he got caught at the party? Yes. But at least it was at his house, and not in a night club. I know they're technically felonies, but it's not like he held up a bank.

It all just points to immaturity, which I think can be contained in the right circumstances. Which I don't believe involve that SOB Harbaugh.
DUI... bad decision that could endanger others.

Gun charges... bad decision that could endanger others.

Yelling "bomb" in a crowded airport... bad decision that could endanger others.

Jeff Fischer developed a plan for Janoris Jenkins, and it's worked beautifully. Something could be done like that (for Smith).

BUT, Jenkins was smoking weed (which almost every college kid does) and had several babies (which isn't on the same level as what Smith has done).

One incident each.

Aldon Smith already has three incidents.

Plus, Hines & Harrison were already Steelers, which is a different scenario. Keeping a guy who is already under contract, is different than bringing in a new guy who already has (three) lapses in judgment.
