Default 2014-2015 NBA thread

So the Spurs captured their fifth championship last night, at the expense of my Miami Heat. There are a lot of questions surrounding the future of Big 3 and the Heat as a whole, which I'll get to in-depth later.

So there's a lot of questions now that the offseason has come. Where will Melo go? What about Love? How much longer can the Spurs keep this up? Will Miami remain elite? Are the Lakers and Celtics ready to come back to the top? And what about those mischievous Clippers?

Are you a LeBron fan or a Heat fan. Listening to LeBron's comments on the radio today sounds like he might consider leaving the Heat. Don't totally understand the salary cap and such, but I know my Lakers are screwed because of Kobe's max contract.

I swear to god, if I had a nickel for every time...

I'm a Heat fan. I am a LeBron fan as well, but I am loyal to the Heat way above him. If he leaves, I'd definitely be disappointed, but I'd go nowhere.

Not exactly. Signing Kobe to 25 mil was a dumb move, but they only have him, Nash and some scrub signed for next year. They have tons of freedom.

Keep your cool, just wondered. I was a big Wilt Chamberlain fan and thus a 76er fan when he was there and then followed him to LA. Have never changed my loyalty since then. I'll die a Laker fan no matter what. If LeBron goes to LA, I'd root like crazy for him. He's a fantastic player. Closest player to Magic I have seen. Both could be All Stars at any five positions. Not many, if any other, could say that.

Nah, I was a Heat fan before LeBron. My first memories of Heat basketball were Wade, Shaq and Zo. Good times.

But yeah, the Lakers aren't in that much trouble. They will always be a great market for free agents, and Pau is a pretty hefty trade piece. They'll be back in a few years or less.

How is Zo doing? I know for a while he was sick.

Last I heard he was doing well. Made it to the HOF.

Well, it looks like LeBron has opted out of his contract. This is either really good for Miami, or really bad.

Lakers might make a move for him.

Not sure how well two over bloated heads would play together though.

Look how it panned out with Kobe and Shaq.

Seriously though, if the Lakers do manage to snatch LeBron and Melo, there won't be enough ball to go around!

I don't see any reason to leave Miami. Maybe that's just my bias, but eh...
