ESPN radio "hating" on Ben

Let them hate. I don't care. I'm not going to sit here and stick up for "my #1 player because I love him the mostest and he's my bestest of players in the leauge". Who cares what ESPN has to say?

Takes more than one player to win a Super Bowl (even though a certain few have a problem comprehending that fact).

Screw it. 52 others on a roster. Let them doubt "us". When was the last time you heard something positive out of that station dealing with this team? Of course after we won XL. Save face.

I'm fine with Rome. I know what he's about since way back when he had a little radio show in San Diego. But I haven't heard his radio show in 4 years so I don't know.

I've been knocking on ESPN for the last few weeks. The most popular argument for the Steelers subpar season is the loss of ARE and the Bus on offense.

you all need to remember that when you are on TOP... everyone is gonna knock ya down and give reasons why you arent gonna win again and for a player who stands out like Ben as the face of the team, everyone is going to say something bad about it or try to say.. well he only wins cause of this or that...

It is true that Ben isnt the best QB in the league and it is true that maybe if he started his careet elsewhere that he might not have had the early success that he has had... but i think you could say that about any player in the league. You have to make the most of what you are given and if a part of Ben's job has been not to lose games... DUH.. that is a part of every QB's role when young. I sometimes think that they forget that he is still very young and the fact that he has brough us back from behing behind on more than one occassion.

Whenver on top or when a player get too much publicity ... the media is usually gonna try their best to bring em down a notch, especially peoplel ike herd.. his show is nothing more than to bitch about something or someone, which apparently people out their like .

No - Ben did not play well overall in the SB, but had it not been for his outstanding play in the playoffs (and especially his heads-up maneuver on Harper in the waning minutes of the Colts game) the Steelers more than likely wouldn't have traveled that golden road to the Super Bowl in the first place. They also seem to have selective memory on his goal line TD in the SB. How conveniently they forget those important facts. Dumb asses.
