I've been rummaging through the user accounts checking out all the different user names, rep points, post etc. BTW, I think it's a very cool to be able to view all of the users like that. Any how, I can't help but notice the number of users which have been inactive for some time now. I know it would NOT be smart to delete these accounts because some of them have posted material and the account is probably linked to the post in the DB, but is there anyway to somehow denote that the user has been inactive for a certain period of time. Something that is real subtle and not quite like the mods, maybe just format their name to be in italics or something.
The reason I bring this up is because on the main SF page where the user Birthdays are displayed, some of those people haven't been here in a while and rather then looking them up to see the last time they were here (to wish them a happ b-day), you can denote it by formatting their name to be in italics like AZ_Steeler. Very subtle but doesn't really draw your attention. Maybe if they haven't been on here in over a year and 0 posts then you can delete them or mark them as inactive so they aren't displayed in the user list. Currently, there is a handful of users who's last visit was 12-31-1969 (not sure how that happened) and a handful of N/A. It's nothing big, I'm just suggesting to somehow denote the users who haven't been around in awhile on the "Todays Birthday" section in general, or maybe not even display their birthday since they haven't been around. I just wanted to throw it out there and see what you thought. Thanks for the site, it's by far one of the best sites I have been a part of. Regards, AZ_Steeler |
