I don't like Boyd either, but I like Jacobs less.
St Pierre was a better option than these two clowns. |

Jacobs will be our third stringer.........and possibly second string next year....If he can keep up with his college stats you will see that he makes very few mistakes.....And is very accurate..

Out of the two QBs, I see a lot more talent and potential in Omar Jacobs than I do in Shane Boyd. Boyd's passes are all over the place, he doesn't have the right touch on the ball and it looks like he is playing dodge ball instead of throwing a football, imo. He also runs around like a chicken with his head cut off in that backfield, though he did make a nice run against the Vikes' scrubs on Saturday night to his credit. As pisnNapalm stated, he looks like a deer in the headlights out there where Omar seems to have more poise. We don't need a mini-me of Kordell - we need a capable 3rd stringer who can step in and get the job done if called upon to do so. As Batch is getting up there in years as far as QBs go, we need a reliable future back-up to Ben in a couple of years. I don't thik Shane Boyd fits that job description.
