Hurst cant be iced as you put it. If you recall he told the newspaper guy maybe I will open my own paper to print my own lies. Well he goes on to open his paper then many years later his great great granddaughter Patty Hurst get kidnaped.

Anyway most of the folks in the show are real folks who lived in deadwood however many years ago so this all is based on facts. The real Al was one bad mother in real life as well as in this show.

As bad as I wanted Hurst to die I knew he would not due to history.

Sorry if I ruined it

Well, being that Seth Bullock died of old age and George Hearst went on to become a US Senator, I doubt they would have been killed off on the show!!

I thought it was great and understated. I read they intentionally left some deadends they will be able to clean up with the two, two-hour movies.

I know the Gem Saloon burns down and Al Swearingen dies as a poor bum in real life.

While I did not expect Hearst or Bullock to be killed for historical accuracy purposes, I was sort of expecting a good causeway brawl of some sort. Eitherway, excellent season overall. It was refreshing to watch after my Soprano let down.
