haha it may be just a TAD premature but my dad and I were watching the Louisville game and as soon as he got hurt I looked at my dad and said "Good, maybe the Steelers can get him next year."

Indeed it is way premature ... but I was sick of all the ridiculous posts about morgan,duce,kuhn ...etc. I actually was so sick of it that I jumped ship from the steelers.com message board over to here ... I had been checking it out for a little while and not only is it set up better but it seems that the people are at the very least a tad more competent than the previous message board I was on ... I did the same thing when bush broke his leg (oh sh*t, how money would that be if Bush came to pittsburg in something like Cromartie did to SD) ... one thing I haven't seen yet was
"SIGN ______ NOW .... HE JUST GOT RELEASED FROM THE _______" ... i can't tell you how many times i had to explain that davenport,dayne, c. rogers, etc. were cut from teams for a reason

Pleaseeee I am going to bust a rib laughing so much. I cant believe the posts as of late. WE ARE DOOMED!!!!! The season is OVER!!!!! I have never heard so much rubbish. Can we please play a game of the regular season first? AHHHHH the point broke off!! The fountain has floated into the ROONEY statue.....The next story..

Bush's stock should drop quite a bit because of the injury, allowing the steelers a better shot at him...you can thank Kentucky for that.

Noone on in this thread is saying the season is doomed ... i guess the title is a little misleading with the "# 1 pick ... what i meant was their first round pick ... sorry it was confusing

I never like to see an injury to a player but when Michael Bush went down. My thinking the Steelers have a great shot to land him now late in the first round. If indeed thats where they end up picking.

Now don't take this the wrong way anybody. I'm not saying the Steelers season is over. Just saying we can never predict serious injuries. So if the Steelers avoid do indeed avoid major injury issues all year. We will be in the running for the AFC crown again this year.

As for the people saying its all doom and gloom thats really silly. It does suck that Ben won't play for the opener. But Batch can win a start or two. He did that last year. Now if it was Tammy Gunn starting in place of Ben vs the Fins. I would be worried. But its Batch and I still see a Steelers win.

Because he's still Michael Bush...a broken leg isn't that career threatening. He'll drop a bit, but I wouldn't count on him dropping too far out of the 1st round if at all.

H.B. Blades first round, baby. The steelers have always been able to find good talent in the later rounds, and if you get the offensive players later, the less you have to worry about the huge contracts.
