You know why we ranked 16th against the pass?

Two reasons:

- Teams couldn't run on us
- We often played with a lead

Pass rank goes based on yardage. That is the worst indicator of a teams pass defense.

Riiiiiiiggght. Last time i checked kiddo,... 1+1 has never,.... nor will it ever equal 3. Numbers are not subject to personal opinion. Don't get me wrong,....i'm not knocking yours. I can actually understand your need to feel like our corners are "Great".

And last time I checked, you're making it very clear that you didn't actually watch and Steelers games last year.

If you're really going to sit here and tell me that pass yardage allowed is the best indicator of a teams pass defense, you're not worth debating with.

Do you know how overall defense is ranked?

By yards allowed.

Is that also the best indicator of how good a teams defense is?

Ike had 10 dropped INTs (would have led the league, IIRC offhand) and the most passes defended. More than the Champ, more than Woodson, more than any other CB.

Would you consider this a "Debate" ? (LMAO) There is none to speak of,......only fact. I'm not speaking of "could or should" have interception's. Would a "Great" cornerback have dropped 10 pick's ? Consistency is the first mark of Greatness. And in regards to my knowledge of football,......let's just say i have a considerable amount of experience. "Nuff Said". Oh and,......STOP PLAYIN.

You seem to have very limited knowledge of football. Sure, he has room to improve. But I'll take a dropped INT over not even getting your hands on it anyday.

Get back to me when you understand the sport.

If you think our corners are "great" then i am not sure what football you have been watching if you claim to be watching every game. We were ranked 16th against the pass and also were second to last ( i might be wrong but i am very close here ) on 3rd downs against the pass. Our pass defense is the weakest and worst part of our defense. Those stats arent because we were up by so much that we just allowed teams to throw at will while we sat in prevent D. Our corners are not good enough that we cant Blitz all the time.

I didn't say our corners are great. I said Ike Taylor is great, which he is. He is a top 5 CB already.

Townsend is serviceable and doesn't give up the big play.

You know why our pass D was so bad? Our safeties.
