No more Maddox....say it with me...No more Maddox! The Tommy Gun did good here and there but last year he cost us way too much in games.

i still can't believe they signed st pierre!! well at least what i read in the paper this morning about them thinking about kordell aren't true!! i think charlie batch will do ok. at least i hope so!

I second that.

The only positive Maddox has going for him is that he knows our system. The problem though....he doesn't know how to play in it, the guy was done two years ago and he can hardly move.

I'm confused here though and please correct me if I'm wrong.....why are we talking about Maddox when we just signed St. Pierre?

because Maddox was specualtion .. but we did sign St Pierre already.. who knows.. jacobs might even be on 53 man roster for first game as the # 3. If we did sign Maddox or any other vet, we would have to pay them the league minimum for the whole year ... but since St Pierre has under 4 years of service.. only have to pay him for as long as he is on roster.

Why are we talking about Maddox anyway? He's a non-factor for two reasons: (1) St. Pierre was signed and (2) I don't believe that he has any interest in returning to the NFL - he lost his fire and desire after his injury in Titanland in 2003.

Folks - come on - it's time to put Maddox, Kordell and any other former Steeler in the past, move on and look forward to the start of a new and hopefully successful and exciting season on Thursday.

Appreciate all of our former Steelers for the contributions they made to the team and let the "dead dog" lay.
