I think they are over hyping this whole thing. Bottom line is you still have to be able to execute your game plan regardless of the situation. You may know or think you know what a team is going to do but in the end it's all about execution.

This would be more credible if it wasn't the Bills. How hard is it to gameplan for them?

Step 1: Remember that JP Losman is the QB
Step 2: Intercpet pass
Step 3: Repeat

But I do think some teams do this. I think it happened when the Chargers traded Cleo Lemon to the Dolphins a week before the game (stupid GM move). He told Zach Thomas Brees's audible signals.

Of course this stuff happens. We're kidding ourselves if we think it doesn't. That being said, it's pretty hard to prove that someone is released because a team is done getting info out of them. And as far as the Bills go, unless they steal some of the Pats players along with the info, it'll do them no use.

I'm sure coaches do pick former players' brains to get some inside hints. But to think that you have to do that to a team like the Bills...unlikely!!

That would be like a team doing that to say Houston, Oakland, SF, or the Packers. There's not much to game plan against and your teams natural athletic ability should be enough to get you past them. If it's not, then you were in trouble way before the game started!!

Or maybe the Patriots feel that their choke hold over that division is slipping? Things that make you go.....Hmmmm?

I think its pretty simple.

If you think you can gain an advantage using legal techniques such as signing players short term - then you do it.

What you don't do is sit back and say "Well we are better than the Bills, lets justs see how things pan out"

Thats how good teams get beat.

I personally love this entire concept ... it adds a whole new dimension and risk strategy to the game, broadens the characteristics coaches will look for in players, and could potentially extend certain players' careers. I like the sneakiness of it all too!
