Stupid Roethlisberger discussion

Stupidity and irrationality reared it's ugly head among some discussions I had with Steeler fans in recent weeks.

I have had numerous discussions with people saying they should bench Ben in favor of Batch. Or,

....switch QB's every other quarter.

That has got to be the stupidest idea I have ever heard. You have a franchise QB who had the best first two years ever by a QB and you want to bench him for a guy who was 1-15 his last year as a starter....over THREE GAMES?????!?!!!

People are dumb...And I am glad all the stupid fans and media who considered this are eating crow right now.

How do people get so irrational?

He WAS playing like CRAP until today, wasn't he? Can you deny that?

I find it odd how this team can play like total shiit 3 games in a row then all of a sudden come out firing on all cylinders in this game like nothing is wrong. Very strange.

And??? Did Roethlisberger drop the punt against the Bengals? Has he been dropping passes or done any pass blocking?

Yes they played poorly but pulling him for Batch would be dumb. Hello!! Kordell & Tomczak anyone?????

Like Alan Faneca said, I don't think the fault is all Ben's. We were trying to throw the ball over 30 times a game with hurt and rookie WR's and an OL that is poor in pass protection and exceptional in run blocking.

We got away from what we were good at and tried to get fancy. That's why we lost 3 in a row.

I couldn't see pulling him after you start him, but I think they did bring him back to early. Batch was doing great. Should have let him start another game.

pullin him would have been dumb, huge confidence killer. Let him play his way out of the slump instead of makin him lose confidence by benching him.
