1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 small potato, coarsely grated
1 small carrot, grated
1 pounds lean ground beef
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
4 oz. cooked rice
1 small egg, beaten
Cook onion in a microwave oven on High for 1 minute. Drain on paper kitchen towels along with grated potato and carrot; the mixture must not be too moist or patties will be soggy.
Combine all ingredients, except lavash bread, in a large bowl. Form the mixture into 24 small, even fingers.
Prepare a fire in a grill to medium heat. Grill fingers on hotplate for 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve wrapped in small strips of lavash bread with a dipping sauce of your choice.
