One of the reporters on the sports showdown stated that he thought the Steelers kept Duce because he renegotiated his contract for less money and they didn't want to cut a player that did that. Presumably, the Steelers think that will encourage other players to renegotiate. I'm not saying it's true. Plus, that is still a lot of money to pay a sweatpants model, but I've heard stranger things.

I would have to look it up exactly. But it was if we cut him it would of hit more against the cap. Since he re did his contract it saved us around 2mil on this up coming seasons cap.
