Just how I feel.

I hope the Pens DO stay in Pittsburgh. I remember them from the Syl Apps, Ron Stackhouse days. I've played on that ice.

Sad day in Pittsburgh.

and blame Bettman also........he has IMO his hands in this also.

This is bullshit, and I'm completely pissed.

Thanks a lot Fat Eddie, you fat F$^$$# turd.

The Pens are as good as gone. Might as well pack up the trucks and turn out the lights right now.

Now this is just $#%#@#$# funny! And on top of that, all of those people who, ahem, "have concerns" will be first in line to spend their welfare checks in the casino when it opens. Give me a $@#$#$@ break!

I know how you feel, buddy, but you know what an optimist I am and I'm going to hold on to the belief that something will be worked out so that the Pens will stay here. The politicians around here know it is their behinds that will be held responsible if they leave and they will do whatever they have to do to save their precious political careers. Eddie the Hut doesn't care one way or the other - he can't run again after he completes this term. This was all a political chess game and the Pens (and us Pens fans) unfortunately got caught in the cross-fire.

Blame Bettman???? He is one of the only people in the Pens corner. He ran off that asshat from Canada who wanted to buy the team with the express purpose of moving it to Canada. He put his career on the line and opened himself up to massive lawsuits with the restrictions he put on buying the Pens all to keep them in the Burgh. If anything Bettman has more to lose than ANYONE else in post lockout hockey having the team move. He needs the stability and moving the Pens will look horrible for the league considering they have Crosby, Malkin, and Staal.

JD, I agree. Anybody in Pittsburgh will tell you Bettman is the last guy to blame in this situation. He stated from the beginning that he wants to keep this team in Pittsburgh. He made his point very well known with the Balsillie situation. It's not his fault we didn't get the license. It's not his fault the politicians in this state can't find a way to build a new arena for our Pittsburgh Penguins and for our city.

IMO, Bettman takes more heat than he deserves. The guy turned that league around so it wouldn't end up like MLB. That alone makes him a good comish in my book. But there's only so much Bettman can do for the Penguins. When you can't get a new arena and your new ownership wants to move the team, there isn't much Bettman can do really. He can't make ownership stay in that piece of shit we call an arena. What can he do? Sorry, my blame will continue going towards the morons the people in this city and state put in office.

Balsillie wasn't a "Bettman" guy.

Believe me the NHL Owners and Bettman want someone who is on the same page as they are.
The NHL Powers and the State of PA are gonna have who THEY want. Back Door Shenanigans are happening all over the place.

This is pretty big news up here. They had a talk show on last night and Bill Daly was on it and it seemed quite obvious that someone is lying when it comes down to the NHL Powers or Balsillie.
Daly said that the NHL gave him all he wanted......including the ability to move the team..........then Balsillie dropped out?.........

hunh?

I can't wait to hear what Balsillie has to say now!

Maybe there is some sort of miscommunication......
Maybe the NHL doesn't want the team in Pittsburgh......I don't know.

Don't trust Bettman.

He's not a Hockey guy.

Still time to figure this mess out and get it resolved..........clock is ticking though. No wonder why the NHL is considered 2nd class in the US.

Lets hope the Pens stay in Pittsburgh.

The NHL has LOTS of problems.

Well, that asshat Balsillie has thrown his hat back in - gee, what a shock? And I do not, nor have I ever trusted Gary Butt-Head. Even Mark Recchi, who lives here, doesn't have any faith in the process.

Get a good last look, Pens fans, and enjoy Crosby and Malkin while you can. Because the end is near.
