This weeks spread bets.
I thought I would share with you all what my selections for Week1 are.....
Raiders @ PATRIOTS (-7.5) Broncos @ DOLPHINS (+4) BENGALS (-3.5) @ Browns TITANS (+7) @ Steelers I think 7 points is alot when its Week1 and your Offense has mis-fired during the preseason - I take the Steelers to win but by 3 or 4 points. I have one of these in the bag already - heres to 3 more for some beer money. Cheers NM |

That line seems to be largely based on last seasons results of course, and what happened in the offseason.. Personally I think we'll beat them by more than a touchdown, but if Im a betting man and on opening day, I'd be leary of that 7 point spread too.

The Steelers always suck against the line. Dont bet them. They like a lead then run, run run, conservative, just maintain the lead.

The best team against the spread was the old Raiders. The Bruins were good to during the Bobby Orr era. Now, it's all to ify for me.

we do football pools at work..and damn I hate the ones where its against the spread! I'd much rather do a head to head and be done with it.

I'd rather bet straight up to Blitz. My brother likes the spread. Last year by the time the season was over we weren't speaking to one another. Of course we've been arguing over football since he was about 10, and I was 8.
This is how he starts a bet: Ok, I'll take the points, plus you gotta give me 2 more. Lol. |
