New Offensive Line Coach?

Was just watching a report from Gerry Dulac of the Post Gazette who is down in Alabama with Tomlin and he mentioned that the possible new replacement for Grimm would be Larry Zurline....I've never heard of him does anyone know anything about this guy?

Nope, never heard of him. He doesn't even come up on Google - this guy IS obscure.

no matter who it is, it wont be better than grimm. we will be taking a hit in this department. oh well, its not like the o-line needs good coaching anyways

He is an assistant OL coach with the Bills. He used to be the Oline coach for the Browns. He also coached with Tomlin at the university of cinn.

Thanks for the info, B&GF32. Since you have actually heard of him, do you have an opinion about how he might do as an OL coach for us?

Well its safe to say the Browns didn't have any talent at Oline. So he should have more talent to work with here in the Burgh. But Tony is right he won't be as good of coach as Grimm. I just hope maybe he can light a fire under Max Starks. The guy has the size to dominate but gets pushed around to much. I think Max needs to get more nasty at RT.

I had no earthly idea who this guy was either.

I hope Zierlein can get a fire under that OL's hiney. There is some pretty good talent there but a lot of the time this past season, the right side was being manhandled at will.

I agree BNGF32 - Max Starks has the size and he played well in the 2005 season but was being pushed all over the line this season. Hopefully Coach Tomlin and Zierlein can get him to where he was two seasons ago.

Wow sounds like another mystery coach. I'm glad to see I'm not the only noticing Starks getting pushed around all over the field. With his size he should be punishing people.
