I love it! It only took one season. They had the teams that will make the playoffs next year on ESPN and not one mentioned the Steelers.
We were off the radar and won the SB..............lets do it again!

The "UnOfficially" 'retired' 2006 team threw 23 interceptions and fumbled fourteen. Whether or not they were game deciding mishaps will lead the most sane to Central America for non-local grape kool-aid.
For some reason the 'other 52' not named Bettis felt the desire also to retire for this season. Well. Why not? Jerome did. For the first time in a long time everyone in the Org were hanging out to dry. And everyone handled it with dignity and substance. It's hard to find losers with the annointing of Coach Tomlin - a transitional trifecta. Flipping 'Key Men' in and out of key positions will always cause those weak in the stomach to seek out an easy chair. And push us off the radar. BUT. The one constant that remains constant is the "Director" and me thinks Kevin Colbert's grip got a little tighter. His success drafting LB's in the fourth and fifth round is proven. The Steelers have thrived with the draft with this man as Director - well except for first-round wide receivers...sort of. I can't think of anyone with the 2006 Steelers who is more disturbed than Colbert. Not Cowher. Not the Rooneys. Not the 'players'. Every single one of them made his job right now the most important time of his career. This may be a live or die draft. |

Every team we play this upcoming season has us on there hit least of the best games they have to play to win, and train for. No team out there ever takes the Steelers lightly because when we come to town are vis vers, they know it will be one down out right tough game and to be ready for injuries. Each team in are division builds there team to play us because they know we are the key team to beat in the division. We maybe off ESPN Radar for say but we sure are not off any team we plays radar. Everyone knows we just had a bad season, went on a SB high ride, off season problems, a coach in retirement mode. Now they have to deal with a fresh coach. A team that will have the hunger again. There is not one team on are schedule that is saying were going to win this. Its the other way, can we beat the Steelers, they will be playing harder and better this coming season. Steelers will be a team to fear again.
Steelers coming to the next SB near you. |

We aren't even on the "watch list" let alone the radar. The entire NFL has an opinion that the Steelers were just a really bad team last year.....I like to see it more as a good team playing really sloppy football. To start out 2-6 and finish 6-2 is no easy task and finishing up beating Cincy (really should have blown them out) in a must win game for them shows the Steelers should be on someone's radar. I mean besides the Baltimore games, was there any game the Steelers were not in till at least the 4th quarter and usually lost cause of being careless with the football?

I'd rather have the Steelers fly under the radar than be in everyone's list. They work MUCH better with the "Us against the world" mentality.

You are right on the money.....Give Tomlin the opportunity to work with the team without added pressure....I am already psyched for this draft and the upcoming season!!!
