Anyone know about this operating system? What is good? What is bad? I am thinking about installing it on a laptop. Would I be able to use any windows software with it?

Overall, if you are into techincal stuff like I am, and you dont mind having to dig around for some things, it is a great choice. There are a lot of good distros, and I reccomend Kubuntu or Ubuntu, because they are stable and easy to use. You can use SOME windoze software with it if you use a software called WINE.
