Altoona Area Fans?

Hello everyone!

I am coming to Altoona to visit my sick aunt this week. I will be in Altoona from the 24th of January through the 20th of February.

I realize no one really knows me, so I could be some creepy guy on the internet. Well, I'm not.

I'd be happy to meet anyone at a restaurant or another spot of their choosing.

I am only bringing black and gold to wear while I am there.

I'm here....wearing my Jason Gildon, James Farrior, or Dan Kreider jersey everyday.

Let me tell you something.....you folks that live back this way are so LUCKY to live in Steeler country. I just love it here, running around town with people in Steeler gear every where. I feel so at home.

ANYONE WANT TO MEET UP? I'm here with my wife until Saturday night.

I've been going to the espresso stand by the post office in Hollidaysburg every morning.

One thing for sure, the Steeler fans up in the Northwest are much more sociable than the ones around here.

We have a lot of Steelers fans in the area, but I'm just one of the few hanging around message boards in the area.

Hi Mike - On a positive note -STEELER fans in Vegas are very nice people, at least the ones I have ran into. If you are ever in the South West (Vegas), give me a shout.

Everywhere I go, I look for Steeler fans. I'm not looking for someone to spend an entire day with, or host me in their home. I just like to meet up for lunch, dinner, or coffee during the day to talk Steeler football with. I know people are busy, so am I.

To be fair, Altoona is not exactly a tech savvy community. Like SCM said, he is just one of a few on message boards. I think I would have had better luck sending up smoke signals asking people to meet me at Sheetz on 17th, or Eat'N'Park.

I knew there would be tons of Steeler fans in Altoona, and there were. I was just surprised that not one single person repsonded to my message and offered to meet up. I even spent some time in Pittsburgh.

I dont live in Altoona but I do live in Tyrone which is 15 minutes away from Altoona and like 2o-25 minutes from Hollidaysburg.
