That's kick ass...lets hope we can keep him when he hits free agency.

Anyone who knows better, please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think the current agreement has NHL players becoming unrestricted FAs at 27 years old or after seven years in the NHL.

(If their first contract ends before that, they are a restricted free agent)

If you are referring to Mario Lemieux, I'd have to agree with you Joey, but if you are referring to Gretzky, I believe Sid will be twice the player that Gretzy was.

P.S. When did you ever see Gretzky go into a corner and battle it out with several guys for a puck?
