lol. just saying what the word on the street may be.

this is the last year the pats have complete salary cap freedom and dont have to draft for immediate need. their most pressing need will be a safety, due to harrison being brittle.

of course needs after this year are rb, dl, cb, s, wr, lb. it looks like they are playing it on the splashier side and have the luxury to take the best player avaliable that they want.

Real talk though Tone,....that's a very good call. The Patsies trading up for Laron would be an excellent move on their part. Not to mention they wouldn't have to pay two 1st rounders.

plus a safety at the 9 spot is gonna be cheaper to sign than say a wr, de or cb (all of which they need after 07 and 08)

you gotta think that while the prices differ a great deal, harrison is much more important than asanti samuel in that defense.

Once again,....good points. And to me it seems as if they're 'loading up' for one 'last good run' at the Title this coming season. And Laron in their secondary WITH Harrison (before he gets injured again. LOL) and Adalius Thomas on the field at the same time is absolutely ridiculous.
That would make for a helluva 'dog fight' in the AFC Championship Game ! (Note my shameless confidence)

I could see that as well. But i think the Skins keep the spot and make the 'sexy' pick with Adams. Their D-line is horrible and their possible second choice Alan Branch will be long gone by the Broncos spot. (And they don't traditionally go with the undersized DE's like Jarvis Moss or Quentin Moses)
But you never know,....anything can happen on Draft day. (As we see almost every year.)

That would be WR Calvin Johnson. (Probably the closest thing to a 'sure bet' in years) But i don't think Colbert and Co have the 'stones' and or 'vision' for that move.
