Montoya gesture could result in Busch Series penalty: NASCAR will look into whether Juan Pablo Montoya violated any of its rules by using an obscene gesture that was telecast by a Speed in-car camera during the final Busch Series practice Friday, NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston confirmed. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver apparently was unaware the camera was being used for live television. Good for him. NASCAR has gone insane with the 27 live cameras all over the place. It's so a driver doesn't have a second to breathe. I'm glad someone is there to be the anti-Mark Martin.

I guess that didn't work too well. There are a lot of transplanted rednecks in the Phoenix area who probably didn't take too kindly to Gordon honoring Dale in that way. I guess it could be seen as rubbing it in. But at the end of the day, Gordon is a great stock car driver. He's proven all the people who said his success was a result of having Evernham as a crew chief wrong. Like him or not, his name will probably end up third on the list of all time wins behind The King and The Silver Fox.
