Not stating it is "a bad thing". Just find it hard to believe that he feels Cedrick Wilson or Nate Washington are "pro bowl caliber". That is all.

Ben is supposedly a "Big" boy, he should be able to do it himself.

Don't forget Nate Washington's false start in the Atlanta game last year. Batch was moving the ball well in the final seconds and put us in position to kick the tying field goal and go to OT. When he went to spike the ball, Washington false started and clock ran out. No tie, no OT.

I'm not blaming the whole loss on him as tons of stuff went really wrong but that's the kind of mental lapse when the game is on the line that just can't happen. How do you false start when you know a spike is coming?

Anyway, Ward is solid as a rock and Santonio will continue to get better this year so that's good news. I TOTALLY agree Miller needs to be used more especially in third down situations. I'm excited about Spaeth and some of the other new acquisitions. If we can get decent production out of Wilson and Washington and limit the drops, we should be in pretty good shape there.

Those are some important "if's", but "if" it works out I agree completely with your above statement.

I hope your right brother. I'm a little nervous with the core as a whole. As I stated in other thread pertaining to Baker, he could be our poor man's Colston or our Freddy Gibson. Wait and see I guess. I'll have a somewhat more accurate opinion of the kid after I see what he looks like at Latrobe.

...One that will go unanswered is this: What would the Steelers have done if the Carolina Panthers hadn't picked wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett immediately before them in the second round?
...I was less dissapointed in our getting Woodley one pick after Jarrett than I was in seeing
Laurent Robinson go two spots ahead of Matt Spaeth....I would have LOVED to have seen that 6'2 ..4.38 speed and incredible hands stretching the defenses!!!

i am a huge fan of his but i will bash him with the best of them when he does something stupid or dumb. i have always called it straight even if its my own team.

LOL! No kidding.
Hey! Maybe that's the key for our passing game: keep Nate covered (he drops when open) and figure a way to get Wilson open (he drops when covered). Seriously, I do think Nate will get some focus or whatever he needs and pick his game up this year.

and what ever happened to that guy Willie Reid? maybe he'll be a speed factor...

So much for increased maturity.
Apparently Big Ben was tired of the ex-coaches blaming last season on his accident. Ex-coaches who could not win the big one until Big Ben arrived. Apparently the Rooneys agreed with Big Ben that the ex-coaches had to go.

I think with Hines Holmes and Washington and Reid we have decent speed and a great position reciever in Hines. If Baker makes the team then we will have decent size as well. All this could be for not if the O line doesnt perform better this season..
