Another point about Ben is this. Ben would have gotten himself out the sacks that Maddox took today. It was painful for me to watch Maddox go down like a sack of potatoes today. He is not athletic, period. Also, I've never seen a guy fumble a ball away and be so slow to react. He should have just pounced on the ball. Instead, he looked like a senior citizen picking up his morning newspaper from the driveway.
The only silver lining in today's game was the performance of Heath Miller. I've been waiting all year for the Steelers to fully incorporate him in their game plan. He is a weapon. One other point, I would like to see the Steelers use more timed routes and be more effective in their QB progressions. Of course this goes hand in hand with better line play. They need to provide a little more time for the QBs, even Ben. |

tommy looked like a sloth. batch is an 8 year young veteran with MOBILITY who i think wouldve helped out the team more today. maddox might have been good in ouR-10 season but we run a different offense in 2005. i was amazed by the few good plays maddox did make. he did well in the hurry up offense but so does ben ...EVERY TIME. i like maddox as a back up but i was really looking forward to seeing batch and what he can do. ben can go deep. that wasnt seen today with tommy. that could be the difference of the game.

He couldnt even finish chasing down mathis as he was returning that pick for a TD.. u noticed him give up and jog to a stop and begin to limp some more. For a guy who isnt mobile when he's healthy to begin with, it shows even more when he's hurt !

Well as far as good points go, take away all the turnovers and we basically shut the Jags down. They had 1 good drive down the field and that is all. It was a great team effort to overcome so many turnovers and still have a chance to win it in OT. Special teams play was tops from what I read. I just certainly hope Ben is ok for next week, or at least this performance has dropped Tommy to #3 QB.

Agree defense was solid again in shutting down the run after a huge 1st Qtr.
