I've always hated reading these type of stories, but the feeling is of much greater magnitude since my son was born. I literally get sick to my stomach each and every time I hear one of these stories. I'll never understand what goes through people's heads. And I guess that's a good thing. How selfish some parents are. To put your kid's life in danger because of something else they'd rather do? The only time my son isn't with me is when I'm working. I feel like no one can take care of him better than I can. Some people can say that maybe that's not a good thing...but if he makes to adulthood in one piece and is the best person he can be, I've done a good job!
