I learned a valuable lesson yesterday...

Vicodin is ok. Several years ago I had an ear infection that was just brutal. The ear canal had swollen shut and the ear specialist had to force a cotton wick through it. You put the ear drops onto the wick and that takes it through to the infected ear drum. When he put the wick in it felt like he stuck a dagger in there instead of a piece of cotton.

He prescribed Percocet for that pain. Percocet either worked as advertised for me or made me nauseous.

That's where I puked when I was 7. Hershey. Had a hot dog & orange soda then went on the "rotor." Wall spins, floor drops, etc. Got off the ride, turned green, the rest is history.

Percs are the only pain med that makes me nauseous and causes me to hug the porcelain God. I have a pretty high pain threshhold and just try to tough it out as I hate taking anything stronger than aspirin or Motrin.

I had the adventure of a lifetime in the hospital last summer... They had me on Demoral and Percs... Saturday Night Live hadn't been that funny in over decade...

For me the Percocet didn't so much kill the pain as just make me not mind being in pain. It gave me a very detached feeling. I could still feel pain but didn't care.

This Vicodin though is pretty week. It's the 5/500 dosage version. 5mg hydrocodone and 500mg acetominophen. It says I can take 2 if I want. hmm....

I don't have any pain from the infection anymore. But I do have Vicodin left over. hmmm Do I save it for the future or take it coz it can be a buzz? decisions decisions... I'm going to bed. I'm too tired to choose.

I think it is your obligation to take it... Don't want the little ones to get it... and flushing them could cause damage to the ecosystem... Yep

I had oxycontin after my knee surgery. I took one pill, and threw the rest away. I hated the stuff. I just dealt with the pain.

Years before that, I blew up a shoulder playing hockey. I took darvocet, tylenol with codeine, and some acetaminophen....

Needless to say, I just kinda floated off the couch that night!

Drink about 6 shots of Jack, spread out on the sofa and enjoy the pretty psychodelic colors. No worries about driving drunk and the buzz is the same as taking those poison pills. The bad thing about medication is that the side effects from some of them are worse than the ailment you're taking them for.
