I already have my Ohio State Lauranitis jersey...it'll be the first Steelers jersey of the 2008 season I buy if we draft him.
He better be projected to go in the very late first round then...

just b/c he played at pitt doesnt mean that he could fit in with the steelers... for example.. the charlotte hornets/bobcats usually draft a basketball player from UNC and they usually end up being awful for the team. hometown players usually dont pan out for the howmtown pro team ..IMO

You're right that it statistically has absolutely no advantage.

People love to see guys play ball from college into the pros, though, in the same city. Watching them mature as a player into, hopefully, a francise (and city) leader.

I am happy about the pics we have (if Timmons gets healthy) but I think we shoulda took Revis. Thats' me though...I trust coach's ability to get them up and dominating...

I don't see any chance he gets a Steelers pick up. I don't think he'd work well in our defense. But hey, I'm no Pitt Football Genius. I'd rather be a Penn State fan anyway.

We hear this same thing about one player every year and it (almost) never happens.

Move along, nothing to see here..

Does anyone here know how he played? Zone? Man? Blitz?

I'm not a college-watching guy.
