My son (age 10) and I are going to our first Steelers game on Dec. 2nd. We are traveling from Seattle and I'd like to know of some good places to stay during our visit. I'm looking for safer parts of town and ideally something near a bus route to/from the game. Any suggestions?

easiest thing for you to do is stay near the airport ( i assume your are flying)as port authority buses go out that far. or get a cab. if you are not flying in stay near cranberry pa. same applies to buses, never saw a cab up that way.

You could actually try to stay in Station Square and take the Clipper over.
If you don't want to stay in town, Stay at the Radison at the Monroeville Mall.
