I think it is closer than the past two weeks obviously, but the Stillirs steel pull out a win. I would say by 7 - 10 points fairly handily.

the 49ers have scored 20 & 17 points against average at best defenses - AZ and StL....they won't be able to put up points against the Steelers D...Alex Smith didn't throw a TD pass in either game....I'm not worried

You are correct. On any given Sunday...
The Niner fans are hopefull, but they're also realistic. Steelers on the road? That's gunna be a tough one. Not impossible, but very tough.
I think the confidence level would be higher if the offense was showing it could move the ball consistantly using all the weapons it has, but that just hasn't happened yet. We have some very good players (Gore, Davis, Battle...), but we've had way too many 3 and outs along with long 3rd downs that aren't gettting converted. This is due to lack of running lanes for Gore (Opposing teams stacking the box) and some dropped balls by recievers that would be first downs and more. It'll happen, but maybe not this Sunday. But, ya never know.

I'm curious of the match up between 49ers TE Vernon Davis to our LB's? Since he's really the only Target for Alex Smith.
