The rest of the world wont realize this unfortunately until we beat the Pats in N.E. |

And while I share your enthusiasm for the December showdown with NE, and it's a long way till then, I gotta say that the Pats have looked frighteningly good over the last two weeks. Living in New Jersey, I already knew the Jets were going to regress this year so that win wasn't a suprise, but I was not in any way expecting the systematic dismantling of the Chargers last night. I thought it would at least be close. |

I still remember Billick's degrading gestures last season, the first retaliation must be...the RAVENS!!!

In fact, Roethlisberger may not be tested until the sixth game of the year at Denver, but by then the Steelers will most likely be 5–0. if he played like he did in the afc championship game then he still wouldnt be tested yet.

The Patriots have virtually no challenge in the AFC East. They're a great team, but you can't deny that they've been a benificiary of a mediocre division. The Jets and Dolphins are too inconsistent, and the Bills just suck. Patriots 2-0. Rest of the AFC East? 0-6. Meanwhile, the Steelers have to put up with the Bengals and Ravens every year.
The Colts and Pats look like they're the overwhelming favorites in the AFC. Someone else has to rise up and challenge them. I think the Steelers are the team to do it. That all starts by taking back the North and playing (hopefully beating) the Patriots Dec.9. That is if the Steelers are in the hunt by then. Last edited by Edman; 09-18-2007 at 01:25 PM. |

Let me start by saying I'm probably the most nervous Steeler fan in the world. With that being said I'm not ready to put the Steelers in the Colts or Pats class just yet. I do think the confidence their playing with is great and if the next couple of weeks go as they should I think they will be dangerous for any team to play, I'm definetly not ready to start thinking of the Dec game aginst the Pats not because I'm worried but because the season goes so fast I like to savor every game. I do like our chaces though.
