Dan Dierdorf on Steelers/Cards matchup

IMO we win the battle between our offense and the Cards D. (Willie runs for 115+) I'm Interested to see the matchup between our D and their offense.... particularly our corners against their receivers.... Bouldin and Fitzgerald will give us a test this weekend. This should make for some great one on one matchups i think.

IMO, Dan Dierdorf is one of the more knowledgeable commentators left on the networks. I thought he got a raw deal on MNF. Dan was much better than any of his replacements at least until Madden (and that is debatable).

Also, Dierdorf has frequently honored the Steelers of the seventies. Specifically, I have heard him mention, on a few occasions, the story of trying to block LC Greenwood in the Pro Bowl. Plus, he is a traditional O'linemen that loves a physical pounding running game. Thus, he has been pretty complimentary of the Steelers in the past when our O'line and the Bus were knocking teams on their butts. For example, there was a MNF Game we were playing against the Bills, and we ran for 200+ yards - he couldn't stop gushing about Dirt Dawson and the O'line that night (might have been the Kordell Stewart option game).

There's another Dan who excels on-air except he does it for the NCAA...

I just have to say this, Madden is the worst commentator I have ever heard. I can't stand how much he dumbs down the game. That being said, I think Leinart will have fits against our D like all young QB's (especially if he isnt putting the time into the film and studying) and as long as we get some pressure on Warner he won't have a good game either. I really like our chances in this game . . . besides they played the 49ers straight up and lost and we wooped them!

Has anyone heard confirmation if Boldin will play ? With Hines out it would be nice to make it even playing filed otherwise these 2 receivers will be a tough test for sure.
