tough call on what to watch tomorrow (thank God for split-screen and mute)
the NFL version of jimmie johnson and jeff gordon squaring off on the field? or NASCARS version of peyton and brady going for the ring as 30-41 other teams are simply ignored? if it were just 1 hendrick driver with such a lead, i would expect some sandbagging and protecting the lead. since theyre both "neck in neck" (no pun intended), it might be difficult for gibbs, rousch, penske, or childress to sneak their way into victory lane.

Jimmie Johnson by far is the most overrated piece of crap ever to slime his way in to a stock car. His crew chief is the most prolific cheater in the sports today, and still people line up around the block to kiss his homosexual ass. It's nauseating how much press this average stock car driver gets when there are guys out there with real talent who get next to no attention because ESPN and NASCAR like their drivers photogenic and without accents.

I'm curious about a couple things. First off, Tom Brady. Dude is on pace to throw for 60TD's and toss 8 INT's. I hate the dude, but I'm slowly conceding that he's the best ever. How do you call the best ever overrated?
Now, Jeff Gordon. He's recognized all over the world as one of the best drivers in the World. If he races until he's 50, he'll probably win another 3-4 cups, which will tie him or put him over the top. The year he finished second (the first year of the chase), he would have won under the old points system, and he also would have won using the current system that awards extra points for wins. So he was good enough to have 5 before he turned 35. What are you basing him being overrated upon? Because you hate him? Do you have any kind of empirical data, facts, figures, statistics, etc,etc to back the statement up with?

Ah, the old "He could only win with Ray" argument. Almost as famous (and just as stupid) as the "He's gay" argument. Which is even more ridiculous because even if he was gay, how would that detract from his driving skill?
What about 2001? He won his 4th Cup that year. The first year of the chase, as I've already pointed out, he was good enough to win and would have won under 2 of the 3 different points systems NASCAR has used. And he's only 30-some points out of winning 5. It's all about the hate.

The simple fact is he did almost all of his winning with one crew chief. Dale Sr had several different crew chiefs in long career. Jeff Gordon needs his crew chief to help him win. Dale Sr just needed his car. |
