Default Turning Willie Parker into a Superstar

I dont know if caught the colts-patriots battle but joseph addai just took over and made every patriots defender look silly... ik the pats were playing basically a nickel D the whole game but still getting 226 total yards against a damn good pats D is amazing...

the ways the colts utilized him too was incredible the recievers weren't always open so peyton would just checkdown to joe who turned each catch into huge yardage... i dont know if you guys share the same opinion as me but i feel willie parker is much faster and much more elusive in the open field than joe addai i say not only do we ffeed him handoffs we give him 3-4 screen passes per game add in give send him outside as a WR just like LT and i promise he'll become a superstar

I think parker can have a huge game against the pats we just have to open holes for him to run and let him do the rest.

well one reason they ran a nickel D all game was to stop the passing game of the colts..

The Pats' D isn't that good against a strong running game, and it's been no secret for a while now. Look at the way LT ran all over them in the playoffs last year (before Schottenheimer took the ball out of his hands). Their stats against the run this year are deceiving because they have gotten out to such big leads so early in games that the teams they have been playing have been forced to abandon the run.

A reason why Addai had to much room running or even catching was again our problem, the o-line and mainly blocking

we really dont use parker at all on dump off passes over the middle. the browns did a lot of that too yesterday. its an effective play when the defenders are playing back and there are a lot of deeper routes. i think for that to work though, you pretty much have to send everyone out, including the tight ends.. otherwise the defender manned up with the tight end will just cover parker instead. i just have to wonder whether or not our oline could consistently handle those plays without a running back or tight end blocking. especially when everyone is running deep.

After seeing that pourous run D of the Cheatsies yesterday against the Colts, I have very little doubt that FWP will be successful against their front line. Of course, the OL has to do their part and I would prefer to see Dan Kreider leading the way for FWP over Carey, especially against N.E.
