How much of this falls on Cowher?

It was bad execution by all. But I would rather put it on Maddox because he is a bum.

All of it goes to Cowher and the staff. Why? Well let me tell you why!
1 - Why was Staley not dressed for this game?
2 - Ever heard of "The Bus" Bill?
3 - You know you have your 3rd string QB in but yet we go with the passing game to win? Give me a break! We never gave the running game a chance with Staley sitting and the Bus getting only a couple touches. This was as bad a game plan as I have seen from Cowher. I got bashed here earlier this year (after AFC championship) for saying this but we will never win the SB with Cowher as coach. He is too predictable and has a hard time adjusting.

We should have ran Staley and Bettis right up the Raven's gut! Yet we go with the passing game and Parker. Does Maddox, Amous and 6-10 sound familiar?

The Pittsburgh Steelers attempting a play-action pass, rather than a power run, on fourth-and-1 late in the third quarter of their 16-13 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens. In a game this close, it's often one or two plays that make a difference, and it seems Pittsburgh's coaches out-thought themselves on back-to-back plays. The first came on third-and-1 from the Baltimore 35-yard line when receiver Antwaan Randle El stepped in for Tommy Maddox under center, took the snap and pitched to running back Willie Parker, who was held to no gain. Then, on fourth down, the play-action pass call abruptly ended when linebacker Bart Scott came bolting through the middle of the line to sack Maddox. Given the circumstances, it seems as if the Steelers should have simply done what they are built to do and let the blocking of Dan Kreider and Alan Faneca simply tear open a hole for Parker or Jerome Bettis for the first down and keep alive a decent scoring opportunity
