Hey, I hate to say it..but he's right.. it seems cowher and Wiz have lost all faith in him.. its really pathetic an pisses me off to no end !!
This guy is the heart and soul...the guy who's been around and done it all on the field.. u owe atleast as much to give him a shot to make some things happen.. and if Im jerome bettis, Im maybe questioning why I came back for another year.... |

Chicken vs. the egg. Ben vs. Bus. Who comes first? I think you need to have both to launch a dominant run game, but at the same time, why wasn't the running game on track against, say New England this year? Bus is no doubt pissed off and probably should be, but it just seemed to be the game plan from the start to throw more often than run. It's no secret Pittsburgh never runs well on Baltimore, and in all fairness, Tommy ALMOST did enough to win. Would Bus getting 15 more carries changed the course of the game?

Well thats the thing we'll never know.. Jerome has always provided a spark and possibly it would have and possibly not..but when everything else was failing, it only makes sense to set up in the power 2 tight end set w/ Kreider leading the way and see if we can generate some yards and take some pressure off the pass rush.
and yeah its no secret we only go as far as Ben will take us. We have all the tools but without a atleast a decent qb at the helm we'll be hard pressed to accomplish our goals. |

Good article. Two players always come to mind when you think of the heart and soul of the Steelers. Hines Ward and Jerome Bettis. The guy is fully dedicated to this team. Not many players take a paycut, but he did. I think my biggest problem with the game against the Ravens is why was the running game bailed on. Jerome should have been in there grinding for yards like he does. This guy needs to be used more. He is a player you can depend on.
