How many years is Batch signed for - I am a big fan but re-signing him may not be cheap

Starks may trick some other team to overpay him as a FA after lucking into playing LT on a slow track the last 2 games that covered up his lack of quickness. I look for a high draft choice starting at guard in 2008

Kreider is gone and Haynes is not coming back - may see a draft choice as 3rd down back (IMO Tomlin has seen enough of Davenport's lifestyle issues)

Unless Washington is restricted FA hard to see Wilson staying over Washington & Reid is gone

Smith starts over Clark unless he hits a ref during a playoff game and is serving out a suspension

i just want to predict our future, this week is a long week waiting up to the big game. i need something to take my mind off of it, in my free time all i do is watch espn, play backyard football, or hang out and watch football haha. my life at this age is revolving around football. so it is hard to keep my mind away from it.not trying to rush things, it is a way to find out what fans dont like about the team without straight up asking them.

Not a good depth chart.

Verron Haynes was cut for a reason, he cant stay healthy. He wont be a Steelers again, and Davenport has filled his 3rd down back role fine.

And I am not big onJavorskie Lane. He looks fatter everytime I see him.

I dont see the Steelers having 6 recievers on the depth chart. We have Heath Miller and Matt Spaeth who are capable recievers. Teams usually keep 6 recievers when they dont have any good recieving threats at TE. We do.

Max Starks at G? Are you kidding me? He is 6'8 and doesnt play with a mean streak. If you think Simmons sucks at G, Max Starks would make him look like an All Pro.

Simmons to guard wouldnt be much of an upgrade over Mahan. People here may hate Mahan, but he is better than Simmons at center. If we dont draft or sign a center in FA, Mahan stays put. I doubt the Steelers roll over on him that quickly.

It is VERY possible we could draft a WR, even on DAY 1, and possibly even round 1 depending on who is available. I dont think we should draft any WR in the first round not named Malcolm Kelly though. WR is our 2nd biggest need behind OL, IMO. We need to replace Washington and eventually Ward. I think the Steelers give Washington 1 more year to put it all together. He wont.

People keep talking about us needing a G, but we need a T much more than we need a G. Quality guards can be found throughout the draft. The only 2 guards that warrant a 1st round pick this year are Eric Young, and Michael Oher, who I really want because he has experience at both.

Assuming Jake Long is gone:

Tackles (Top 3)
Sam Baker: A few month ago, it looked like he would be a top 10 pick, but with the emergence of other players, and his injury history, he may fall to us. He will still most likely go in the top 20, but there is a chance.
Michael Oher: Strong player, with never ending motor and a mean streak. Can play both G and T.
Chris Williams: See Oher. Pure tackle, same qualities.
Other possibilities include: Gosder Cherilus, Jeff Otah and Ryan Clady

Guards: (Top 3)
Duke Robinson: If he declares, he is the best guard in the draft.
Eric Young: Best guard in the draft if Robinson doesnt commit.
Roy Schuening: Alot like Faneca. More of a 2nd rounder.
Other possibilites: Andrew Crummey, Shannon Tevaga, Jordan Grims and Will Arnold.

C: Steve Justice is the best center in this draft by a country mile. If we dont draft him in round 2-3, its a huge drop off, and nothing better than what we already have.
