Penguins change start for Saturday game to 3:08 p.m.
Tuesday, January 01, 2008 By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Penguins' game against Florida Saturday at Mellon Arena will begin at 3:08 p.m. It had been scheduled for 7:38, but was moved up to avoid a conflict with the Steelers' playoff game against Jacksonsville, which will begin at 8 p.m. at Heinz Field. The Penguins had to get league approval before changing the starting time. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08001/845869-100.stm

Unfortunately, the NHL is marketing the sport in Europe while they should be trying to market it better in the states, where the majority of NHL teams are actually located. There's a reason why ESPN dropped the sport and it's on a relatively unknown station (Versus) and the tv ratings were behind the World Poker Championship at one point.
IMO, work on building the NHL's reputation in the states first, then worry about Europe. It's a dumb idea and one that I'm sure the players are not crazy about. There have already been complaints and I can't say that I blame them for complaining.
