with only tuman and kranchik as our TE's, full time ones atleast, on the roster, it's safe to say we'll grab one at some point in the draft.

Couple things in catching up...
1) As for Lewis, he is only slower in getting to the sidelines. He used to be able to come back all the way against the grain, not now. If he guesses wrong at the snap, then he is out tof the play. As for other areas, I think he misses his D-line. I saw more FB's getting through and sticking Ray 5-7 yards up field. Heck look what Krieder did against him. That will make anyone look human. 2) As for the draft, thanks for the Ware update. I saw a mock draft where is is going in teh top 30, once to us, once to Philly. So keep your ears on. I think with TE's and OT's stopping in and us not signing, shows we think there is plenty of value in the draft.

OLB Derrick Johnson Texas XVAL= 101.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'4" 230 4.50 Top10 Pros:Has everything that you look for physically in a LB, makes plays all over the field. Has his own strip/fumble swat when tackling. Cons:Sometimes tries to do too much, and as a result gets caught out of position. 2 RB Ronnie Brown Auburn XVAL= 100.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'1" 225 4.45 Top10 Pros:He can do it all. Great size and speed, runs people over and can get outside as a ballcarrier. Great receiver out of the backfield, good blocker. Cons:None - he is simply the best RB in the draft, and the most complete prospect at the position that I have seen in years. 3 WR Mike Williams* Southern California XVAL= 99.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'5" 228 4.56 Top10 Pros:All of the size and skills that you could ask for, throw the ball up there and he will take it away from everyone else. The sky is the limit. Cons:Has not played for a year, lacks blazing speed. 4 QB Aaron Rodgers* California XVAL= 99.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 220 4.47 Top10 Pros:Very accurate, with a strong arm, can make any throw asked of him. Good athletic ability, very sound mechanically. Good leader and mentality, has the ability AND desire to be a franchise QB. Cons:Size is only average, has only played 2 seasons of college ball. That said, if he declares he should be one of the top picks, if not #1 overall, come draft day. 5 RB Carnell Williams Auburn XVAL= 98.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 5'11" 205 4.50 Top10 Pros:Amazing athletic ability, makes cuts that look impossible. Tough runner despite small size, great balance, can make people miss. Cons:Not a great blocker, his hands need work as well. 6 CB Antrel Rolle Miami XVAL= 98.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'1" 205 4.45 Top10 Pros:Great cover corner, also knows how to step up and stop the run. Good blitzer, fundamentally sound. Cons:Had an off-field brush with the law last off-season, but it appears to be behind him. 7 WR Braylon Edwards Michigan XVAL= 97.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 206 4.45 Top10 Pros:The man can run, and when the big play calls, he answers. Good size, good hands, amazing athlete. Cons:Has had some drops with easy passes, needs to be more consistent in his effort. 8 CB Carlos Rogers Auburn XVAL= 97.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'1" 195 4.45 Top10 Pros:Great athlete, is a playmaker. Good size and speed, natural talent. Cons:Needs to refine his techniques, be more stout against the run. 9 DE Marcus Spears Louisiana State XVAL= 96.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'4" 300 4.8 Top10 Pros:Has played and produced against top competition. Great size, solid against the run, and a deceptively productive pass rusher. Cons:Lacks top notch speed, but will be a quality player in the league. Won't be a superstar, but a great starter is not out of the question. 10 QB Alex Smith* Utah XVAL= 96.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'4" 212 4.75 Top10 Pros:Amazing TD:INT ratio, completion percentage the last two years is also great. Takes very few sacks, doesn't throw many picks either. Extraordinarily smart, got his bachelors degree at age 20 and is currently working on a masters. Cons:Plays in a pass happy offense, mostly from the shotgun. Will need some time to become a more comfortable pocket passer in the NFL, takes off and runs a bit too much at Utah. 11 DE Shawne Merriman* Maryland XVAL= 95.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'4" 245 n/a Top20 Pros:Has good speed, has produced as a leading pass rusher at Maryland the last two years. Consistently improving. Cons:Needs to bulk up and get stronger, could use some more work on his run D. 12 OT Alex Barron Florida State XVAL= 95.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'6" 315 4.8 Top20 Pros:Plays the coveted left tackle, and is the best OT prospect available. Great pass protector, good height and quick feet. Cons:Will need some more technique work, won't be an all-world level LT, but will be upper-tier. 13 WR Mark Clayton Oklahoma XVAL= 94.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 5'10" 187 4.47 Top20 Pros:Great speed and hands, tough player, big YAC threat. Runs good routes, is very willing to help out in the run, fundamentally strong, understands his position well. Cons:Undersized compared to the big WR's of today, but will do just fine. 14 DE David Pollack Georgia XVAL= 94.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 280 4.75 Top20 Pros:Great motor, can do it all at DE. Great against the run, great against the pass, has a knack for making big plays. Team captain, quality leader. Cons:A little undersized when compared to the prototypical DE, could get a little stronger. Neither issue is all that important. 15 RB Cedric Benson Texas XVAL= 93.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'0" 220 4.5 Top20 Pros:Great size, powerful runner who can break for big gainers too. Has all of the physical tools and abilities to be a Pro Bowl back. Cons:Character counts, and he is sorely lacking. Is of the "there's no I in team but there is a me" philosophy. May be the first RB taken, but is a risk. 16 CB Adam Jones* West Virginia XVAL= 93.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 5'11" 185 4.4 Top20 Pros:Great athlete who has great speed, also can really lay out the opponent with a big hit. Great kick returner as well. Cons:If he bulked up a little more it would help him against some of the bigger receivers he is going to face in the NFL. 17 DT Travis Johnson Florida State XVAL= 92.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'5" 290 4.70 Top20 Pros:Good size, great speed for his position. Had a dominant senior year. Cons:Character issues off the field may come into play, has also had shoulder problems in the past. 18 WR Troy Williamson* South Carolina XVAL= 92.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'2" 200 4.4 Top20 Pros:Great speed, good size. Has produced, 19.4 yards per catch this season. Big play threat. Cons:Inexperienced, hasn't played in a pass heavy offense. Needs to develop his game further. 19 DT Shaun Cody Southern California XVAL= 91.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'5" 285 4.75 Top20 Pros:Good speed, great pass rusher inside. Played DT for 3 years at USC before going outside to DE this year. Cons:He'll play either DT or DE, depending on which team he goes to, could go either way. 20 CB Justin Miller* Clemson XVAL= 91.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 5'11" 180 4.40 Top20 Pros:Very good cover corner, has return capabilities. Great speed, has not hit his peak yet. Cons:Just needs more work to improve his game, shore up the run D a bit too.

Cons:Not as good a blocker as he could be, that part of his game needs to be refined. 26 FS Brodney Pool* Oklahoma XVAL= 82.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 208 4.5 Top32 Pros:Ballhawk, playmaker in the secondary. Good size and speed. Consistently gives 100%. Cons:Needs to improve against the run. 27 MLB Channing Crowder* Florida XVAL= 82.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'2" 235 4.6 Top32 Pros:He has good size and speed, is very athletic and a great tackler. Will make plays all over the field. Cons:Lack of experience (sophomore) and past injuries are cause for concern. 28 OG David Baas Michigan XVAL= 81.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'5" 320 5.1 Top32 Pros:Very strong, has a mean streak. Technically sound, will start on opening day. Cons:Could use a little more work in pass protection. 29 DE Dan Cody Oklahoma XVAL= 81.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'5" 265 4.75 Top32 Pros:Has had great production with a great program, has the right size and speed for the spot. Cons:Left the team for mental health reasons in '01, fainted in a game at the end of this year. Were his great stats him or the supporting cast? That will have to be answered. 30 DT Luis Castillo Northwestern XVAL= 80.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 305 n/a Top32 Pros:Good size and quickness, great strength. Used to be a wrestler, that has been credited by many top defenders, especially DT's, as having helped their game. Cons:Not much bad to say about him, he just needs more exposure to the scouting community. 31 DE Erasmus James Wisconsin XVAL= 80.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 263 n/a Top32 Pros:Another great pass rusher, good size and instincts on the field. Tons of potential. Cons:Has the ability to do a lot more than he has done so far, he'll be a boom or bust player. 32 OLB Kevin Burnett Tennessee XVAL= 79.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'3" 235 4.55 Top32 Pros:Knows all the intricacies of his position, and plays it very well. Solid all-around guy, may sneak into middle part of the first round. Cons:Played with another great in Ahmad Brooks, needs to improve his run D. 35 QB Jason Campbell Auburn XVAL= 76.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'5" 228 n/a Round2 Pros:Rising player on the draft boards... Quietly had the third best collegiate passer rating in 2004. Great size and physical tools, has decent mobility, can make all of the throws. Had a great supporting cast with RB's Williams and Brown. Leaders with his Cons:Had a great supporting cast - many feel that is behind more of his sucess, and not vice-versa. Wasn't great early in his college career, really pulled it together this year. 36 RB Marion Barber* Minnesota XVAL= 76.5 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 5'11" 215 4.48 e Round2 Pros:Nice combination of power and speed. Marion's running style is cross between Curtis Martin and Shaun Alexander. Cons:Had carries taken from him by a very productive teammate that stole a little of Marion's thunder. Needs to work on receiving skills part of that is the system but 3 receptions for the year seems awefully low. 37 OLB Demarcus Ware Troy State XVAL= 76.0 HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected 6'4" 247 4.68 Round2 Pros:Great pass rusher, has been very productive at Troy State. Atheltic, has good, but not great, speed. Declared early for financial reasons to support his family, driven to succeed. Solid against the run, often drew double teams. Cons:Doesn't have great speed, could use some work on his technique.
